Possible Selves is a feature-length documentary that follows two brave teenagers in foster care through their tumultuous high school years and into college — the first major documentary to focus on the lived experience of current foster youth.

Directed by Shaun Kadlec, a Bakersfield native, the film has garnered national attention — broadcast on PBS across the country and winner of the 2025 Los Angeles Area Emmy Award for Independent Programming.
